She Invents Pillow to Chase Lonelies
Inventor Cecelia H. didn't settle for being lonely and missing her loved ones. She came up with something to help herself and them as well. Her solution? A Talking Pillow. Although distance makes the heart grow fonder according to the old saying, those folks who find themselves alone have to struggle through nights with their loved ones in mind, but not there. To help, Cecelia's invention introduces a unique way to comfort those who miss that special someone and feel their presence no matter where they travel.
Cecelia began developing the Talking Pillow in July, 2003. She was inspired by her five children and their circumstances. She decided to implement a way to feel close to them every night. Cecelia discussed how she came by the idea for the Talking Pillow. "My first two kids, were taken five years ago. They were adopted one year ago. Now I get to talk on the phone every Tuesday for 10 minutes to my daughter. My son only talks to me very seldom, mostly once a month. "I have a four-hour visit once a month," said Cecelia. "Anyway, me and my daughter Raquel talk and she always tells me she wishes she could hear my voice to talk to me more like every day, night, and she misses me. "She wishes she could be closer at night when she sleeps," said Cecelia. "So my brain started to think of a way I can make her feel better, so bam, one day I thought 'A Talking Pillow.' "Then I brain stormed on how, what, why and can I. I called Invent-Tech after I saw them on a television commercial. "They sent me the first step and I put it away and thought, Nah. Then one day about a month later, they called me and told me to send in the paperwork and let them take care of the next step. "So I put it on paper," said Cecelia, "sent it in and they called me back. Wow.They were interested and wanted to move on to the next step and so on."
Cecelia continues to do everything she can to make a better life for herself and for her children. She remains an inventive person, too. "I have a couple of other inventions in my head. We will develop one of them after we work through this one with the Talking Pillow." Technical data about the invention cannot be released until the product is licensed and marketed.
