Revolutionizes Boat Transmissions.
Inboard motor boat transmissions certainly take on a good deal of wear and tear over time. There is a particular problem with the lower unit, where the grinding of gears is commonplace. Additionally, there is a requirement that the inboard motor of the boat be in a particular location, thereby sometimes causing limitations in terms of space. With these issues in mind, inventors Craig and Lucia P. of Louisiana have developed a new invention. It is designed as an innovative new transmission, which can be used on ATV's inboard and outboard motors, electric cars, bicycles and motorbikes. The P. family began to conceive the idea in 2003 after Mr. Patterson's dealings with lower unit problems in boats. Its proprietary features help to provide smoother shifting and allows for the motor to be positioned anywhere on the boat. It will also help enable the production of a diesel outboard motor.
In addition to boats, the invention also has other widespread uses and benefits. These include ATV's inboard and outboard motors, electric cars, bicycles, motor bikes, gym equipment and lawn mowers. The invention's unique design eliminates the need for chains or sprockets, which can be problematic and in frequent need of replacement. It will also reduce the amount of wear and tear on gears significantly. The original idea is now being made available for licensing to manufacturers interested in new product placement. The P family are hoping to have their invention in full production and available to the public within the very near future.
