New Poduct for Construction Workers

Inventor: Scott K.

Those who work in construction know that it’s often necessary to wear safety glasses and ear muffs. Without them, they can do serious damage to eyes and ears. Scott K. was on a job site where many of the helpers complained of discomfort. He knew there had to be a better way, so he created Glass Muffs.

One Step Away From Relief

Inventor: Lanny N.

Lanny N. has known the discomfort and pain of gout since childhood. The disease, which tends to run in families, comes from the inability of a person’s body to eliminate uric acid, leading to hyperuricaemia and the formation of crystals in the joints, particularly in the feet and hands. It’s actually a kind of arthritis, and as acute attacks can become more frequent as a person ages, it can end up a chronic condition. However you want to look at it, the condition is painful at all times, and can be most unbearable at night, when even the weight of bedclothes brings on severe pain, and usually prevents sleep.

Man Invents Do-It-Yourselfer Tool

Inventor: George P.& Susan P.

All that George P. was hoping for last summer was something to help keep the plywood steady while he was building a new shed for himself and his wife. As it turned out, he ended up inventing a new tool to help builders like himself who often work alone. And, at the same time, he opened up a potential money-making inventstment that could benefit both do-it-yourself construction types and big developers. The man and his wife, Susan, are the creative team behind the new invention called a “Plywood Hanger” that is currently being patented and readied for production by Invention Technologies Inc. It is the family’s first invention and happened somewhat unexpectedly, they said.

Inventor Hopes to Cash In on a Slick Idea

Inventor: Aaron G S

Aaron S. had one of those ideas about five years ago that makes people say, “Why didn’t I think of that?” Now, he’s poised to cash in. A national invention incubator has taken his idea for Teflon-coated road construction tools and is shopping it out to manufacturers. “I just didn’t want to wake up one day and see someone making money with my idea,” he said. As a highway supervisor for (His Hometown) Public Works, Mr. S regularly works with asphalt, the hot gooey mixture that makes up most roads and many sidewalks.

New Invention By Local Resident Makes Car Trips Easier

Inventor: Shirley S

Traveling long distances in a car is no picnic, especially if there are small children aboard with you. Babies and toddlers can get fussy, irritable and downright cranky. Catering to their needs while driving on a dark road is nearly impossible. Shirley S. experienced this first hand while on the road with her daughter and two grand-daughters. Mrs. S. saw the difficulty of feeding a baby, looking for a lost toy and keeping a toddler seated with the safety belt buckled.

Local Men Invent, Will Market New Dust Stopper

Inventor: Samuel K & Tracey C

When dust gathers, it can be a bother for whomever is around it. It has a way of making people sick, and is also an unattractive element to have around. Local residents Samuel K. and Tracey C. were doing some service work on a heater when they were inspired to create something that would stop dust build up. That’s why they came up with Dust Stoppers.

Dust Busters Duo Invent Device to Stop Buildup in Applainces

Inventor: Samuel K & Tracey C

Faced with his usual enemy, dust, clogging a customer’s domestic appliance, Shane K. decided he’d had enough. “There ought to be a way to fix this,” Mr. K, who handles service calls for Superior Gas thought. So he and colleague Tracy C. created “Dust Stoppers,” a device that promises to stop the buildup of dust in appliances and save gas and propane users some $75 dollars annually in service calls.

Resident Developes Complete Protection and Comfort for Officers of the Law

Inventor: Alan S

Law enforcement and Military personnel have a difficult job to do. Not only do they keep our communities safe, they risk their lives doing so. Alan S. an ex-law enforcement officer wanted to develop a safety product that would protect and be functional for those individuals in their day to day services. That’s why he created the Ballistic Resistance Shell (BRS). This lightweight protective garment is comfortable and provides a snug fit with “no rise” from the waist and no adjustments for individuals wearing the BRS in protective services.

Local man invents device for dog owners

Inventor: Anthony W. R.

A playful feud between Anthony R. and his mother gave the young man an idea for an invention to help all dog owners. Rossi and his dog went everywhere together, including to his parents’ house. But his dog could never leave the house without its manly camouflage bandana. “I always dressed my dog up in a bandana,” the inventor said. “My mom would always take off the manly bandana I had put on and put on a holiday one. It got to be a thing between us.”
