Bright Idea: Geneseo Inventor Ready to Produce his “Illuminated Window”

Mark P. came up with a bright idea and he intends to let it shine. Over a decade ago, when he worked for a photo production company, he came up with the idea for a décor product from a project he was working on for the company. It is such a simple idea that when people see this they’re going to say “Why didn’t I think of this?” Said Mark. “It will add an element of décor to a room that’s never been available before.”

It is called the Illuminated Window, described as a “new lighting product that has been designed to safely and conveniently enhance any room, providing warmth and comfort for all occasions.

He is working with Invention Technologies, Inc. of Florida, who are helping him to get the Illuminated Window off the ground. It is in the conceptual phase, now available for licensing to manufacturers. An Invent-Tech representative said the product will save consumers money because it is energy-efficient. Mark made the first prototype 14 years ago and used it in his basement. He was working in the displays and exhibits department at his photo company. He built something similar to the Illuminated Window for a display and thought it would make a great idea for in home use. People walk into my basement and say “Wow! Can you do this for me?” He contacted Invent-Tech a little less than a year ago. He hopes to have the Illuminated Window in full production and available to the public by early 2006.
