Woman awaits patent on invention

Debrah W. remembers the day she though of her invention like it was yesterday. “I was at the beach and it was so hot,” Debrah said by phone. “I’ll never forget how hot it was. I was lying on my stomach, and you can’t lay on your stomach but a few minutes without it hurting your back.”
It was 20 years ago Debrah said she though of her invention, but only in recent months that she has been hoping to get a patent for it.
While she was unable to disclose exact details of her invention or describe exactly what it is because of patent rules, Debrah said she was sure she had a good product. She said it is versatile and can be used in cars, hospitals and with masseuses. She said anyone with back pain can use it, as well as campers and acupuncturists.
Customer service representative George Puertas, who works for press publicity with Invent-Tech, said they are waiting for a manufacturer to license Debrah’s product and come up with the final design.
“I know in my heart this is going to sell,” Debrah said. “I believe a lot of people can get help from this.”
