Local man inventing a better tool Seeking company for Razor Glove
As a production supervisor, Emil E. has seen a lot of lost-time accidents.
Opening and sorting boxes, a big part of his day, calls for Emil and his associates to use box cutters that often have led to cuts that range from scrapes to serious injury.
When he sat down to order more box cutters for the company recently, he though to himself, “Why couldn’t I sit down and draw something up?”
The necessity? A safer, more effective razor knife.
His idea? The Razor Glove.
“If used properly, it will reduce injuries at home and at the workplace tremendously,” Emil said. “It reduces a lot of human error.”
Though he can’t reveal exact details because he’s working with Invent-Tech® to find manufacturers for the product, Emil said the combination of a glove and a razor provides safe use of a box cutter at the workplace or at home.
The Razor Glove also eliminates the need to buy two products, and because it’s compact, it’s easy to store, according to the product’s press release.
The Razor Glove isn’t the only idea Emil is looking to market.
He has come up with three other ideas, but Invent-Tech® only markets one invention at a time, Emil said, “so they can focus on the invention.”
Emil hopes a manufacturer is found soon so his other ideas can become a reality.
Not all are production related, he said, but all are useful.
