Hello, this is Juan C. Blanco, Invent-Tech's Director of Product Licensing, with our Video summary of the ASI Show Chicago 2007. The Advertising Specialty Institute, which serves as both the namesake and organizer of this terrific mid-summer event, brought together the leading manufacturers, distributors, and marketers of the multi-billion dollar promotional products industry together under one roof on July 11th and 12th at the McCormick Place in Chicago, Illinois.

Because the proceedings are only spread out over 2 days as opposed to the customary 3 or 4 that many trade show events are, it seems like the ASI Show annually boasts some of the consistent booth traffic for Invent-Tech. The aisles of the show were also constantly buzzing with activity, even in the final hours of the second day and as a result, Invent-Tech was able to secure what we feel will be some potentially valuable leads.

Some of the notable companies and contacts that approached the Invent-Tech booth at the ASI Show included an Iowa-based manufacturer of all types of air freshener devices that also recently bought a controlling interest in a large plastics factory, and that is therefore seeking all categories of items that could potentially be made in conjunction with their manufacturing capabilities; the Vice President of Investments and Business Development for a company partially headquartered right in Chicago that specializes in electronics of all kinds; and a gentleman that is part of a multi-million dollar company boasting diverse product lines and over 180 proprietary retail stores through which they distribute their items.

The follow-up process with these companies began during the show itself, as each notable visitor to the Invent-Tech booth was sent an e-mail of acknowledgement and appreciation for having taken the time to meet with our company the very same day they stopped by. The Manufacturer Response Team has already begun the follow-up process in regards to these companies, and as of this writing, one package of ideas has already been sent out for review, with more to follow very soon.
