Summary

Hello, this is Juan C. Blanco, Invent-Tech’s Director of Product Licensing, with our summary of the Puerto Rico Gift and Variety Merchandise Show 2007. This was another opportunity for Invent-Tech to continue the expansion of our involvement in the Latin American trade show marketplace, and we came away with a very positive experience.

The show took place September 30th- October 2nd at the modern and spacious Puerto Rico Convention Center in San Juan. This is the same venue that had hosted the Hardware and Construction Products Show back in February, which had marked Invent-Tech’s first visit to the island for a trade show.

The pace and exhibitors of the Gift and Variety Merchandise Show were certainly of a somewhat different nature than other events that Invent-Tech regularly attends. The diverse group of products represented helped the show live up to its “variety” moniker, as companies manufacturing and marketing everything from lighters to sunglasses were present. Invent-Tech was able to make contacts with companies involved in the security, household, automotive, toy, and hair care industries amongst others, both at the Invent-Tech exhibit and through our trade show representatives’ travels through the exhibit floor.

As customary, the Manufacturer Response Team will begin its follow-up attempts with these companies as soon as possible, and this process will be an ongoing one throughout the coming weeks and months. Naturally, as developments with the companies met at the Gift and Variety Merchandise Show unfold, we will bring you all of the details on the Invent-Tech Network Blog.

The spacious and modern Puerto Rico Convention Center serves as the venue for this exciting fall event, which takes place September 30th- October 2nd.
