Summary of AAPEX Show 2007

Hello, this is Juan C. Blanco, Invent-Tech’s Director of Product Licensing, with our summary of the AAPEX Show 2007. This was Invent-Tech’s second year attending what is considered the landmark event of the multi-billion dollar automotive aftermarket products industry, and we are pleased to report that our encore experience was even better than our initial one last year!

The show took place October 30th- November 1st at the Sands Exhibition Center in Las Vegas, and featured two floors of exhibitors. As per the official AAPEX website, the 2006 version of the event featured over 2000 exhibitors, and this year’s proceedings appeared to at least match, if not exceed, that number. The Invent-Tech exhibit, as customary, was the recipient of a consistent stream of visitors during the three days of the event, and our trade show representatives likewise walked both levels of the show in an attempt to spread the word about our dynamic new product subscription service for manufacturers, Innovation Direct.

A number of what we certainly hope will prove to be valuable contacts were made over the course of AAPEX 2007. One such company is a globally renowned auto maker that may be able to review Invent-Tech inventor product ideas under certain conditions. Another contact made was with a company that has been a leader in the field of bicycle and motorcycle accessories for close to two decades, and that has distribution capabilities in over 45 countries. A third company is a fellow exhibitor who is a distributor of a wide variety of automotive items and that also informed us that they have the ability to have virtually any product in the automotive aftermarket category manufactured.

These are just a few examples of what Invent-Tech feels is a formidable collection of contacts made during AAPEX 2007.As customary, the Manufacturer Response Team will begin its follow-up attempts with these companies as soon as possible, and this process will be an ongoing one throughout the coming weeks and months.
