Summary of ASI Show 2008

Hello, this is Juan C. Blanco, Invent-Tech's Director of Product Licensing, with our summary of the ASI Show Orlando 2008. This was Invent-Tech’s initial participation in the Orlando edition of the ASI event, and we are pleased to report that the experience was right up to par with our past stints at the ASI Show Chicago. 

The show took place January 3rd and 4th at the Orange County Convention Center, and featured a very diverse group of exhibitors. Due to the fact that ASI is the flagship event of the promotional products industry, the companies that exhibit and attend the show tend to represent a considerable cross section of industries. The traffic at the Invent-Tech booth, which was extremely consistent and brisk throughout the two days of the proceedings, certainly reflected this trend.

For example, Invent-Tech had the pleasure of meeting the principal of a Florida-based company that has distribution channels established with leading retailers in the home improvement, department store, office supply, and grocery markets. As of this writing, that company has already been sent their initial Innovation Direct package of 21 product ideas from the Invent-Tech database, and we are certainly expecting that this will signify the beginning of a long and fruitful relationship with this company.

Additionally, a contact was made with the Division Sales Manager of a major manufacturer of paper products for the hospitality and food and beverage industries who is also looking to begin receiving new product idea information from Invent-Tech on a regular basis.
